A gripping, heart-wrenching, and wholly remarkable tale of coming-of-age in a South poisoned by virulent prejudice, it views a world of great beauty and savage inequities through the eyes of a young girl, as her father—a crusading local lawyer—risks everything to defend a black man unjustly accused of a terrible crime. • The book's tagline explains the title: "Fahrenheit 451” – the temperature at which book paper catches fire, and burns…" In a terrifying care-free future, a young man, Guy Montag, whose job as a fireman is to burn all books, questions his actions after meeting a young woman and begins to rebel against society. Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian novel by American writer Ray Bradbury, published in 1953.
